I had the delightful pleasure of meeting Deborah A. Jones (Sister Deb) at my first Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce Networking at Noon.
I had just moved to the Greater Mobile area after relocating from Phoenix, Arizona.  I was homesick, not feeling well, and in a brand new office.  I was about as “low feeling” as I have ever been.  Sister Deb came into the room, proceeded to pass behind me, and decided she needed to sit next to me.  With a mother’s instinct, Sister Deb put her arms around me and said, “I know you’re a Christian.  Trust in Jesus.  He will help you to feel better.” “How
did she know I was feeling bad?”  I asked myself.  We proceeded to talk and cut up throughout the meeting.  She then began to speak to the group of attendees about her job as the Director of Happiness for Dr. Byron Scott of The Springhill Dental Center as well as her book.  She began to tell her
story of her drinking under the bridge, looking down into the city at the people in their dresses and cars.  She longed for that and I felt remorse and
sorrow for her as we were speaking.  Not since the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. has a speaker motivated me in such a way. From that moment on, this woman has captivated me.  When I hear her speak, she moves the very follicles of hair within my body.  Upon obtaining the delight of reading
her marvelous work, I could hear her reading beside me. Sister Deb is a most cherished person in my life and is loved by all whom she meets.  The
Good Lord has given us one of his best “Warriors of Light” in Sister Deb.
